About Rookie Startups and Young IT EducatorsRookie Startups specializes in education and development of entrepreneurial skills, and every year we give over 2000 young people the opportunity to participate in our various programs. Through our proven method, developed in collaboration with researchers at the Stockholm School of Economics, we provide young people with the tools to succeed in the job market and in life.

The Young IT Educators program is a summer job for youth aged 15-18 where their primary task is to educate, assist, and guide seniors in the digital landscape. The purpose of the program is to reduce the digital divide between generations and to educate seniors on how to avoid online scams.

🚀 Your mission as a mentor for Young IT Educators

• Coach and educate young people in various digital subjects, communication, critical thinking, and pedagogy. The goal is for participants to feel ready to educate and assist seniors in the digital landscape after the first week.

• Support and guide the youth in their work during meetings with seniors at various meeting places.

• Lead practical workshops together with your colleagues.

• Be responsible for daily coaching of participants, individually and in groups.

• Ongoing documentation of the process and reporting at the end of the program.

🌟 We are looking for someone who

• Understands what it means to educate and coach young people and that all individuals are different.

• Is a natural leader who is good at seeing the individual.

• Is a true initiator and is not afraid of new challenges or responsibilities.

• Has good communication and pedagogical skills and has no problem presenting to a group of people.

Preferred competencies and experiences:

• Has experience in pedagogical work and assisting seniors, such as grandparents, with IT.

• Has good computer skills and basic knowledge of IT, the internet, and other digital services.

*By IT, we mean general computer skills as well as knowledge of various digital/internet-based functions and services, e.g., 1177, email, video calls, e-services, etc.

💬 Scope Project employment full-time for 3 weeks during the dates 15/6-2026 - 3/7-2026 (w.25-27).

In addition, you should be able to work a few days before the program and participate in a staff training during the spring.
